Over 400 exhibitors from 20 countries, including Australia, the UK, Vietnam, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, Latvia, Malaysia, Belarus, South Korea, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, Taiwan, Poland, Turkey, Japan took part in MITEX 2017.
Exhibition area: 16 500 sq m
The General Sponsor of MITEX 2017 was STIHL Group that develops, manufactures and distributes power tools for professional forestry and agriculture as well as for garden and landscape maintenance, and the construction sector.
The regular “MITEX” exhibitors made the core group of the show: 220Volt, Gedore, Green Works, Hitachi, Kordoba, KWB Rus, Lit Trading, Meritlink, Metabo, Rubi, Stabila, Stihl, Wald, Vneshtehkontrakt, Drilltechservice, Interskol, Patriot, Prorab, TMK, Uralopt, Fiolent and other companies.
The exhibition was attended by 19257 visitors.
The companies from Germany, Taiwan and China demonstrated their products and services at national collective expositions, bringing together over 250 exhibitors.
Among the honoured guests who took part in the official opening ceremony of MITEX 2017 there were S.V. Selivanov, Head of the Exhibition Section of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, M.L. Shereykin, General Director of the Agency for Technological Development under the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Hernandez, General Director of the “Andreas Stihl Marketing”, the General Sponsor of the Exhibition, A. Zborovsky, Chief Editor of “Potrebitel” series of magazines, M.P. Tolkachev, Deputy General Director of ZAO “Expocenter”. The opening ceremony was conducted by K.V.Anisimov, General Director of “Euroexpo”.
The topical import substitution trend was presented at MITEX in “Made in Russia” programme that brought together the companies interested in domestic industry development and high quality professional and household tools manufacturing in Russia. This year the Programme attracted 53 companies.
An intensive programme of co-located events included RATPE Conference, STIHL Forums, Conference for dealers of JSC “Fiolent Plant”, and “Vneshtorg” presentations.
One of the key events of the show was the Conference “Russian Market of Power Tools and Labour Saving Devices: Present State and Prospects”, organized on 8 November by RATPE Association, the MITEX Strategic Partner. The Conference has become a traditional place where experts discuss the latest market trends in the tool industry and the most pressing issues, including waste disposal, environmental fees, customs regulation in the EEU and Russia, and others. Over 200 tool industry specialists took part in the Conference.
Nikolai Valuev, the INTERSKOL media face, traditionally visited MITEX, giving the exhibitors and guests a positive energy boost. Nikolay Valuev spent a fruitful day at the event: he welcomed the guests, demonstrated the work of power tools presented at the INTERSKOL stand, gave several interviews to the exhibition organizers and media representatives.
The “Joinery show” was organized by RUBANKOV company at MITEX for the first time. The unique joiner and woodworking technologies were demonstrated at the numerous master classes. During four exhibition days the visitors had a chance to see how the specialists work on a fret-sawing machine or a milling cutter, or to demonstrate their own creativity joining the master classes on woodcarving, furniture making, Japanese joinery. The “Joinery show” was conducted by Alexei Deikin, head of the RUBANKOV Joinery School, Sergey Klein the cabinetmaker, Dmitry Pushin, head of PETROGRAD tool shop, and other masters.
According to the exhibitors, MITEX 2017 was a very efficient and successful show, and proved its status of the major tool industry event in Russia.
