The Russian market for automotive tools and equipment for service stations continues to restructure in response to changes in the vehicle fleet and service infrastructure. Demand is being influenced by several factors at once: the growing share of Chinese-brand vehicles, the increasing average age of cars in operation, the development of independent service stations, the expansion of corporate fleets, and the need among service providers for more versatile equipment.

For automotive service centers, this means the need to update their tool base. Lifts, jacks, hydraulic and garage equipment, compressors, pneumatic impact wrenches, torque wrenches, diagnostic devices, tire-changing equipment, work lights, and hand tools remain in demand. Special tools for new vehicle models, including Chinese brands, are becoming particularly important, as these brands have significantly changed the structure of demand for repair and maintenance in recent years.

Market participants note that service stations are increasingly evaluating tools not only by price, but also by service life, availability of consumables, service support, and the ability to quickly obtain replacements or spare parts. With service centers operating under high workloads, equipment downtime is becoming critical, which is driving growing interest in stable supplies and broader product ranges from distributors.

Industry exhibitions remain one of the indicators of the market’s condition. The composition of exhibitors, the themes of displays, and visitor activity make it possible to assess which categories of equipment are currently in the focus of professional demand. Once a year, specialists from the tool market and the automotive service industry come to MITEX to learn about new products, compare offerings from manufacturers and suppliers, and see which solutions are entering the market in response to the current needs of service stations.

MITEX is considered one of the key events for the tool industry in Russia, the CIS, and Eastern Europe. According to the results of 2025, the exhibition covered 50,000 square meters and brought together 927 companies from seven countries. The event was attended by 29,600 specialists from 85 Russian regions and 37 countries. These figures show that the exhibition format remains important for the industry as a platform for professional exchange and assessment of market trends.

The national pavilions of China and India play a prominent role in the MITEX exhibition. Chinese manufacturers of automotive tools hold strong positions in the Russian market: they offer products under their own global brands, develop professional product lines, and also act as contract manufacturers for a number of domestic trademarks. Last year, China’s large-scale national exposition brought together more than 600 companies. Among the participants was Dongcheng, one of China’s largest manufacturers of professional power and pneumatic tools, which are also in demand in the automotive service segment.

For the first time, MITEX featured a national exposition of tool manufacturers from India. India is one of the world’s major manufacturers and suppliers of hand and assembly tools. Against the backdrop of the restructuring of international supply chains, Indian companies are strengthening their presence in the Russian market, including in areas related to service station equipment, repair, and vehicle maintenance.

In 2026, MITEX will take place from November 10 to 13 in Moscow. Professional attention will traditionally be focused on the “Tools and Equipment for Automotive Service” section. Participation in this section has already been confirmed by AIRLINE, PEOFIPOWER, SHIP LLC — the official distributor of the YATO, VOREL, STHOR, FLO, and SENSH brands — as well as BelAK, Kraton, LM Company, and other companies.

Visitor interest statistics for the automotive service segment reflect steady demand. According to the results of MITEX 2025, the “Tools and Equipment for Automotive Service” section was identified as an area of interest by 2,644 professional visitors. Of these, 1,319 attended the exhibition for the first time, while 1,451 visitors influenced purchasing decisions. For the market, this is an important indicator: interest is being shown not only by technical specialists, but also by business representatives responsible for equipping service centers and developing procurement policies.

Against the backdrop of fleet renewal and growing competition among service providers, the automotive tools market in Russia remains dynamic. Practicality, versatility, equipment availability, and compatibility with new vehicle models are coming to the forefront. In this context, exhibitions such as MITEX serve as a snapshot of the market: they show which categories are developing faster, which supplier countries are strengthening their presence, and which solutions are becoming most in demand among the professional community.
