From November 10 to 13, Moscow’s Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre will host the 19th Moscow International Tool Expo MITEX. Since its launch in 1998, the project has become a key industry platform for Russia and the CIS countries, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and professional users of tools. Representatives of the event told `Stroitelnaya Gazeta` about this.

For executives of industrial enterprises, procurement directors, and representatives of the public sector and housing and utilities services, MITEX is, above all, a working environment for assessing the market and selecting solutions for specific production and construction tasks. In terms of scale and thematic scope, the exhibition remains the only specialized event in the country that systematically presents tools for a wide range of industries.

“Today, MITEX is an industry benchmark and a mirror of the tool market. We show how the industry is developing, which technologies are setting the tone, and which solutions help companies modernize their production base. Here, professionals can see the full range of tools — from hand tools to high-tech solutions — and make informed decisions for real-world work,” says Gulnara Markelova, MITEX Project Director.

A Wide Range of Tools for Construction and Renovation

MITEX showcases the full diversity of tools and equipment — from hand and measuring tools to powerful construction machinery and equipment for processing various materials, including metal, wood, stone and plastic. This scope enables procurement specialists to comprehensively meet the needs of enterprises and contracting organizations within a single venue: compare solutions, discuss supply terms and address service issues.

Construction tools are one of the key sections of the exhibition. The thematic section “Tools and Equipment for Construction, Installation, Painting and Decorating Works” features solutions for most stages of construction and renovation.

The segment dedicated to work at height and lifting operations includes equipment for working at height, ladders and stepladders, construction stilts and lifting systems. The construction machinery and heavy equipment section presents vibration equipment, demolition hammers, heat guns, floor installation equipment and cutting machines. For monolithic construction and precast concrete plants, the exhibition features tools and machines for working with rebar.

Special attention is given to cleaning equipment and consumables: industrial vacuum cleaners, construction waste bags and components. Painting and finishing tools are also widely represented, including brushes, spatulas, rollers and scrapers, as well as painting equipment, spray guns, mixers and containers for mixing compounds. The display is complemented by construction chemicals, mounting foam, adhesives and sealants, fasteners, tooling and accessories, as well as general construction inventory and marking tools.

In addition to the construction segment, the exhibition presents solutions for processing and cutting metal, stone, glass and wood, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, control and measuring equipment and laser technology, as well as locksmith and installation tools.

An integral part of the exhibition is the business programme, which annually features practical and discussion sessions covering a broad range of topics — from trends in the development of the tool industry to optimizing advertising budgets on marketplaces. Expert discussions are held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the RATPE Association, providing access to relevant case studies and the regulatory agenda.

“MITEX’s business programme is a space for professional dialogue and rethinking the market. We bring together experts, manufacturers and tool users to discuss key industry challenges, exchange practical solutions and shape a new technological agenda for the industry,” says Elena Kravtsova, MITEX Business Programme Director.

Together, the MITEX exhibition and business forum provide a comprehensive view of the market and the opportunities for supplying production sites — from construction sites to machine-building workshops and municipal services.

Interest from the Professional Audience

According to the results of 2025, the MITEX exhibition occupied 50,000 sq. m and brought together 927 companies from 7 countries, including national pavilions from China and India. The exhibition was attended by 29,600 specialists from 37 countries and 85 regions of Russia. At the same time, 87% of the audience influence purchasing decisions, while 47% attended MITEX for the first time.

The greatest interest among visitors was in power tools and consumables — this segment attracted 57.11% of the audience, or 16,904 specialists. Strong demand also remains for locksmith and hand tools — 30.8%, or 9,116 specialists; tools and equipment for construction, installation, painting and decorating works — 26.89%, or 7,959 specialists; equipment for processing and cutting various materials — 25.17%; control and measuring equipment — 21.86%; hydraulic and pneumatic tools — 15.08%; and other categories. In total, the exhibition comprises 14 thematic sections.

These figures reflect the structure of industry demand: construction, manufacturing and municipal organizations are looking for reliable and technologically advanced solutions that can be evaluated and compared in person. It is precisely in this role that MITEX remains an important point on the industry agenda — a place where the renewal of companies’ tool bases begins.
