From November 5 to 8, 2024, industry professionals will gather in Moscow to explore the latest trends and meet key players in the tool industry at the 17th Moscow International Tool Exhibition, MITEX, held at Expocentre. The event is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, RATPE, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
This year, MITEX will expand by 15% from last year, covering a total of 51,000 square meters, with over 1,000 companies participating from Russia, China, Germany, Armenia, Italy, India, Kazakhstan, and more. Notably, the Chinese national pavilion will feature 587 manufacturers. Visitors will find a diverse array of tools and equipment across 14 thematic sections, including power tools, welding equipment, and garden machinery. New this year are the interactive MITEX PARK landscape area (150 sq. m.) and the MITEX CHINA FORUM, a platform for Russian-Chinese business collaboration. The MITEX.DIY training center also returns for a second year, offering a variety of workshops.
MITEX annually attracts new exhibitors showcasing fresh products. Debuting this year is Kovrovsky Abrasive Plant, known for its tools for metal, wood, and polymer processing. Brand GETINK will present generators, motor pumps, snow blowers, and lawn mowers. AKOR will offer a wide range of painting and household tools, and Pegas pneumatis will feature a selection of nail guns, sanders, impact wrenches, paint sprayers, and compressors for pneumatic tool enthusiasts.
MITEX.DIY will captivate DIY enthusiasts, where popular creators will showcase unique woodworking techniques. Influencers like Mikhail Kuchuk (Heartwood), Alexander CHESTER, and other notable woodcraft bloggers will create custom pieces on-site, from chopsticks to furniture. Attendees can also join a large-scale workshop on moldings, non-inertia mallets, diamond crowns, and disks.
An exclusive joint workshop with Alexander and Mikhail will be held on November 7, marking the highlight of this tool showcase.
The MITEX PARK area (150 sq. m.) will focus on landscape design, featuring live demonstrations from topiary experts creating stunning plant forms. Russia's leading topiary artist and Topi-Art international competition prizewinner, Pavel Astakhov, will teach the art of green sculptures on November 7, while Denis Polyakov, owner of “Mom’s Dacha” nursery, will demonstrate tree pruning techniques on November 5.
For fans of French-style gardens, Alexey Filin, a researcher and conservatory curator at Moscow State University’s “Apothecary Garden,” will present the workshop "Versailles Geometry: The Art of Topiary Forms" on November 6.
On November 6, the MITEX China Forum will host a session on "Payments to China: Solving the Key Issue Here and Now," led by business program partner Alfa-Bank. The session will focus on key issues and updates in the Russian-Chinese power tool market.
A notable event will be the opening of the photo exhibition "Professionals: From Dream to Success," organized by MITEX 2024's premium partner, CAIMAN. This exhibit honors those dedicated to preserving nature’s beauty, featuring portraits of groundskeepers, arborists, farmers, landscape architects, and agronomists, with inspiring quotes from each subject highlighting their journey in the profession. The project showcases how quality tools contribute to achieving guaranteed results.
“MITEX is Russia’s oldest tool exhibition. Since 1998, we have grown and developed alongside our participants. Focused on modern trends, we offer formats that allow companies to present their products and solutions effectively. In 2024, we invite everyone to open a new chapter in tool history and, of course, welcome our visitors. There is something new and valuable here for everyone, expanding perspectives on the potential of modern tools,” said Gulnara Markelova, Director of MITEX.
About the Exhibition: The Moscow International Tool Exhibition, MITEX, is Russia and the CIS’s leading event in the tool industry. Established in 1998 as InterTOOL, it was rebranded in 2008 as MITEX – Moscow International Tool Expo.
